ABOUT OUR HISTORIC FARM RETREAT
near Princeton, West Virginia!

With our great location near everything Wild, Wonderful, West Virginia has to offer, our historic log cabin retreat is just 5 minutes from I-77! Our historic homestead was established in the early 1900s and is filled with glimpses of the past! The old cabin features logs cut from the family sawmill that once stood on the farm and will accommodate 2 guests. We invite its visitors to enjoy a step back in time amid the antiques and period furnishings. This is a one of a kind old cabin with craftsmanship reflected in the handmade pine plank doors, rolled window glass, stone fireplace and much more. Old quilts, burlap curtains and accessories will carry you back in time to make your stay one of the most memorable experiences ever! Sip wine under the stars, watch deer graze in the pastures, or just sit back & relax! The historic farmhouse is located just 5 minutes off I-77 & very close to the interstate exit near Princeton.

Things on the farm remain pretty much the way they were when great grandma lived there in the early 1900's. Guests today have a few more modern conveniences including wifi, comfy queen size bed, 3 flat screen TVs, and . . . a nice, updated bathroom, replacing the old outhouse that once stood on the farm.

Your bedroom comes complete with natural air conditioning, made possible by raising the old rolled glass windows and propping them up with a stick.  The freshness of the cool mountain air filling the room brings with it the night sounds of owls and crickets chirping softly in the stillness. Of course, we do have window air conditioning units as well if you prefer!

If a rain should be falling on the old tin roof, you're in for a special treat. There's nothing like listening to the soothing raindrops as you curl up with a good book or nap the entire afternoon..

Guests can go for a walk to the old barn, go fishing in the river, watch deer graze in the pastures, or make conversation around the crackling firepit while roasting marshmallows and taking in the beauty of a clear, starlit night.

Time stands still at this old farm, rusted glimpses of days gone by, inviting guests to visit and remember when life was simpler. Paradise awaits!
